With an average of more than 700 actual emergency responses a year, the O'Brien'sRM team has developed expertise un-like any other response management firm in the world. Our Incident Management and Spill Response Team have been involved in some of the largest, most complex emergencies involving natural disasters, fires, civil disturbances and pollution responses and have worked with government and industrial response teams at the local, state, federal and international levels. We are proponents of and use the NIMS Incident Command System during actual emergencies.

O'Brien'sRM is distinguished from other companies in this field by our actual emergency management response experience which is unparalleled anywhere in the world. We offer hands-on experience with strategic and tactical decision making, as opposed to equipment providers and response contractors that act under the direction of others.

As mentioned above, O'Brien'sRM employs the National Incident Management System (NIMS) to provide required response functions, consistent with the U.S. National Response Framework and Area Contingency Plans. The client may elect to use any or all of these services as dictated by the circumstances of a particular incident. Additionally, we can provide a range of resources to assist in managing any emergency incident.

Response management requires more than qualified and experienced people. It requires the right tools in order to respond effectively and efficiently. At O'Brien’s Response Management we have access to a wealth of resources that are available to meet the needs of your emergency. CommandPro® - A primary tool used by all response services personnel in the management of a response.  Based on NIMS criteria, all response efforts are properly documented throughout the response.  Personnel from various locations are able to maintain documentation for a specific incident.

Mobile Command Posts - We maintain two mobile command posts - one on the West Coast, and one in the Gulf of Mexico area - ready to deploy immediately. Both come equipped with onboard generators and a complete communications system, including UHF/VHF/Marine radios and conventional/satellite telephones.

Communications Equipment - "Improved Communications" is the most frequently cited lesson learned in exercises and events. O’Brien’sRM can obtain a complete communications system of laptop computers, wireless network, LCD projectors, map-size plotters, poster printers, satellite and cellular phones and associated response software.

Documentation Equipment - Critical - but often overlooked - tools in emergency response are documentation equipment. O’Brien’sRM offers photocopiers; still, digital, and video camera equipment; badging and ID sets - everything you'll need to maintain the integrity of your response.
