Respond

When the worst happens, preparation is over and everything now depends on the response. Effective response is all about people, resources and process. The outcome rests on strong, well-trained leaders, adequate resources efficiently deployed, and a well-honed process for managing a fast-moving and very complex event. The O’Brien’s team responds to nearly 1500 events a year from major reputation crises to large man-made emergencies, such as oil spills, to natural disaster.

Our success in helping so many respond effectively is based on:

  • Constant Readiness — Our Command Center located in Slidell, Louisiana is manned 24/7 to receive your call. Our response team can be activated at any time, and our deployment with offices around the country means we can get to your problem in the shortest amount of time.  When our team is activated, we initiate a pre-determined notification process, and begin an immediate response activation.
  • NIMS/ICS-based response — as early leaders in the use of ICS, we are fully committed to NIMS and ICS processes as the most proven, effective means of managing events, both large and small
  • Integrated Communications — we see effective media, public and stakeholder communication not as a separate by-product or even nuisance as some do, but as an essential element of a complete response. Trust, we know is based on effective action combined with effective communication.
  • All-Hazards, All Events — The effective response systems that we built are now being effectively and efficiently deployed for many other applications including reputation crises, pandemics, terrorist events, mass casualty events, natural disasters and many others.
